So, I would just need a bit more code and a third MAX7219 to make an RGB matrix work, then?
the soldering iron looks gay xD
So if I wanted to increase the number of LEDs, would I need more equipment? Like for example, the size of an 8 ft by 8 ft part of a wall?
this is one inspiring video ;
“Meggy Jr RGB” sounds more like the display he’s using – but I’m talking about the buttons which are controlling whats on the display. Is there a way to re-create that?
are you talking about the Meggy Jr RGB by Evil Mad Science Labs
it looks like hes usin some king of lipstick?
Subcribing!!!
How the heck did he make that controller mounted on the same board as the LED-Matrix in the beginning? I want to know how to make such a controller. x_x
lipstick?
true!
kiss ‘n lick it away.
I know what you mean, I was frustrated as well before I got myself one. The truth is, in our time and age, interesting stuff are done using some sort of programming, ergo Arduino, which is hugely simple and inexpensive for what it is capable of. In my recently made opinion, if you want to do pure electronics for fun then create your own schematics, otherwise it’s just soldering.
that arduino board pops up everywhere!!!!
praise teh JEBUS, the MAX7219 Just rescued my project.
its just me or this guy looks like agent smith from matrix
leave him alone… he didnt ask your opinion or for your derogatory comments
looks like a fucked up PSP
Why are you wearing lipstick…?
its the color of time 80
you wanna know life at high speed, get laid!
Agreed
FUCK YOU WE WANT KIPKAY!
How about rigging it to an array of distance sensors to make a low resolution depth camera?
Is the Arduino fast enough to generate a scrolling spectrogram at that resolution in real time?
(if it’s not obvious yet, i barely know these things; my knowledge about each item could probably fit on a hovertip)
